Q. Thanks for all the great information! I have a question and I'm hoping you can help me out...I'm trying out for High School Musical at my school. The problem is that they haven't given us any singing audition material - just the script. I was wondering if you knew what the vocal requirements for the role of Sharpay is. I have a comfortable singing range from Mezzo-Soprano to Alto, and my preferred range is alto. Can you tell me the vocal selections and vocal range for Sharpay?
A. Thanks for a terrific question! Sharpay sings 4 selections (What I've Been Looking For, Stick To The Status Quo, Bop To The Top, and I Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You) in the stage production bill. Your vocal range should easily cover everything she does.
